Points-tested, independent and state-nominated pathways for skilled workers, without needing an employer sponsor.
General Skilled Migration covers the points-tested visa subclasses independent (189), state or territory nominated (190), and provisional regional (491) for workers whose occupation is in demand. Points are awarded across a range of factors including your age, English ability, skilled work experience, qualifications, Australian study, and increasingly your partner's own skills profile with a flat bonus available if you're single or your partner already holds Australian citizenship or permanent residency. Most points-tested visas require you to be under 45 at the time of invitation, and the 491 regional visa leads to permanent residency through a separate visa (subclass 191) after three years of living and working in a designated regional area.
We run a full points assessment, help you maximise your score honestly across every category that applies to you, and manage the skills assessment and Expression of Interest (EOI) process from start to finish.
